- when they're charged with a crime they're presumed innocent. When I represent them, I'm gonna fight hard for them and make sure that their rights are protected. The law office of Jerry M. Beurkens has been representing defendants in the state of Michigan that are charged with operating under the influence, sale and possession of drugs, the "Super Drunk Driving" law, people who are charged with minors and possession, people who are charged with the sale and possession of drugs.
I also represent college students who've been charged with minors and possession and open containers. When people are charged with criminal offenses, it's a very stressful and emotional situation, because this is the first time they've been most likely arrested. They've been deprived of their freedom. They're facing the possibility of loss of their security. They're looking at loss of jobs.
